UFCW 880-- After a series of intense negotiations, UFCW Local 880 members overwhelmingly voted to ratify agreements with Giant Eagle and Heinen’s grocery companies.

The agreements cover grocery employees in the Cleveland area, as well as meat employees in Cleveland and Akron area stores.

Local 880 members succeeded in securing all of their major goals, and resisted employer proposals that would have hurt workers. The new contract includes:

Solid wage increases across the board;
Substantial improvements to health care plan;
Secure health care coverage for retirees.

The new agreements will help to strengthen jobs in the grocery industry throughout Ohio. Local 880 members join UFCW members across the country who are raising working and living standards throughout the grocery industry.
